CAKES, CROWNS, and COURAGE: Retracing My Journey and Reinventing as the Queen of New Beginnings!
"Did I ever mention that I once served Tea to the King of England in my Catering hub? Yes, I did."
To aspiring Overseas Students, Seniors, Semi-Retirees, and Seasonal Travelers:
First, let me ask this: what will you do if you don’t get that overseas admission, scholarship, or job?
Or when you feel stuck, fed up, and ready for something new? What will you do?
A few months ago, I found myself asking these same questions.
Every entrepreneur has a story, and here is a special chapter of mine: Cakes, Crowns, and Courage.
Yes, I once served tea to the King of England; but that is just a small part of my story.
I once had the honor of serving tea (with a dash of honey!) to none other than His Royal Majesty, Charles III, then Prince Charles.
Yes, the King of England once sipped a cuppa tea made by yours truly!
But let me rewind…
Cooking the "Restaurant Standard Mama Sikira-style African soups" has never been one of my great strengths (thanks to attacks of asthma in my teenage years). But when it came to celebration cakes, finger foods, and small chops: Take a Back Row Seat, Mama Sikira! I reign in any kitchen where I don't have to inhale smoke for any length of time. ππ And that was how I grew up, needing air. In those days, not many parents knew much about ailments like Asthma, or even the really traumatic one - Sickle Cell Anaemia (which took two of my best cousins during my first years in university.
Back in 1987 (UK), I ran a catering business called Fliss Bee Catering, based in Brixton’s Bon MarchΓ© Centre. With a fully funded business grant from the Prince’s Trust for Young Entrepreneurs, I turned my dream into reality. One unforgettable afternoon, Prince Charles himself walked into my hub. He came to meet his young entrepreneurs, and I served him tea with pride - and yes, with honey! Long story, short.
.
Fast Forward to Today
Since then, I’ve built businesses, imported computer components from Taiwan for sale, designed the first newsletters for New Covenant Church (Pastor Paul Jinadu and his wife were our wonderful Lead Pastors). I started two Nursery Schools in UK (Brixton and Croydon).
I fixed and flipped properties as a student. I went into healthcare. I taught adults (1985) and seniors (1998), and started an internet cafΓ©, I won a Chambers of Commerce bid to teach business computer skills to small businesses.
I started and ran two adult colleges, and so on. While being engaged in faith and community leadership and political engagement. And much more. I will tell more stories of my entrepreneurial and life journeys as the Queen of New Beginnings by and by.

Every step has taught me resilience and instilled in me that "Can-Do" spirit and a Never-Give-Up" attitude.
Now, at 64, I choose to embrace the future - the AI revolution - and in my usual manner, I am excited to empower a handful of people.
✨* Seniors and Semi-Retirees looking for fresh income streams.
✨* Aspiring Overseas Students seeking scholarships, admissions, work and new income opportunities.
✨* Seasonal Travelers ready to redefine their possibilities.
But, here is the thing, if I could serve tea to the royal Prince who is now the King of England, just imagine what YOU can achieve with the right tools, a positive mindset and an attitude that NEVER GIVES UP.
And that is why I am also THE APOSTLE OF "NEVER TOO LATE."
If you are ready, let’s embrace transformative New Beginnings together!
